3:40 Pace Leader
Hometown: Tracy, CA
Number of Marathons: 18 (15 were ran in under 3:40)
Marathon PR: 3:23:47 2010 New York
Favorite Marathon & Why: Big Sur – views were just breathtaking! It was also the week after I ran the Boston Marathon.
Other Running Accomplishments: PR’s: 5K 20:02, 10K 42:58, Half 1:35:32
Other Pacing Experiences: This is my first official pacing assignment but I have ran with others to help them achieve their goals.
Running advise to those joining my pace group: I plan to start initially a little conservative then gradually pick up the pace. I want to keep you feeling strong and motivated over the course.
Favorite Quote: The body does not want you to do this. As you run, it tells you to stop but the mind must be strong. You always go too far for your body. You must handle the pain with strategy…It is not age; it is not diet. It is the will to succeed. - Jacqueline Gareau, 1980 Boston Marathon champ (courtesy of Runners World)
