3:05 Pace Leader
Hometown: Reno, NV
Number of Marathons: 40 currently, but Modesto will be my 43rd
Marathon PR: 2:44:55 at the 2012 CIM Typhoon
Favorite Marathon & Why: If I have to pick just one, it’s gotta be Boston…the crowds, the prestige, the feeling that the eyes of the running world are on you for that one day. The feeling is almost indescribable. Stick with my 3:05 pace group on March 24 and see for yourself what all the hype is about!
Other Running Accomplishments: I started running in 2008, qualified for Boston in that first year, and have averaged more than eight marathons each year with progressively faster times (about a third of them have been sub-three hours) and even a handful of wins at smaller races.
Other Pacing Experiences: I paced the 3:05 group at the Pocatello Marathon in September 2012 and will pace the Louisiana Marathon in Baton Rouge on January 20, 2013.
Running advise to those joining my pace group: On race day, remember the hundreds and hundreds of miles you’ve run in preparation for the Modesto Marathon and what an accomplishment that is. This race is just a 26.2-mile victory lap, what’s most important is that you enjoy it.
